Position Title: Manager – Facilities & Services

 

Department: Campus Operations

Reporting to: Head – Campus Operations

 

Level: Asst. Manager

Role Summary:

·        Provide Engineering, Facilities & Services support to the University

 

Responsibilities:

1.      Support the Head – Campus Operations in managing the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing installations & maintenance activities within the University.

2.      Responsible for preparation of critical spares list for all installations as per manufacturer’s recommendations and plan for the inventory where the maintenance is carried out with in-house teams

3.      Implement and oversee the pre-emptive maintenance programme to reduce the risk of sudden failures of critical equipment

4.      Assist the Head – Campus Operations to review the maintenance/service practices of M&E Contractors to deliver quality work practices in line with the manufacturer recommendations

5.      Maintain the logbooks, checklists and PPM schedules for all M & E installations

6.      Manage Downtime/ Breakdowns

7.      Arrange for ad-hoc M&E set ups as per the requirements from time to time

8.      Responsible to handle and allocate shifts independently on all Engineering related matters

9.      Responsible for daily reporting on MEP to the Head – Campus Operations

10.   Generate Service maintenance reports on MEP equipment

11.   Generate Inventory and Purchasing of spares and consumables

12.   Generate Downtime and breakdown incident reports.

 

Key Skills:

1.      Must have man-management abilities

2.      Must have handled large teams (30 +) of out-sourced and /or in-house manpower

3.      Good skills in communication, oral & written

4.      Must be conversant in MS Excel, Word & PPT

 

Qualifications:

1.      Graduate/ Diploma holder with tertiary qualifications/ Diploma in Electrical Engineering (desirable)

2.      3 – 7 years’ experience in Facilities Management – must be from a Facility Management background and handled client sites either as lead or first assistant.

3.      Proven ability to function effectively as part of a team

4.      Proven ability to initiate and follow through with improvement initiatives.

5.      OJT/ experience of working on STP, WTP, Water Supply, HT side & LT side highly desirable.

 

Emoluments:

1.      INR 45 to 50 K range
