KU Central Library was established on June 14th, 2012, The Library serves as the academic hub for students and faculty. This library can also be called the heart of the institute. It is equipped with a diverse collection of resources, the library caters to the educational and research needs of its patrons., Offering a serene and conducive environment for study and research, the library is a focal point of academic activity on campus and Committed to excellence, the library continually evolves to meet the evolving needs of its users and the academic community.

Mission of the library: The Kaziranga University Library fosters intellectual growth and creativity by providing a diverse collection, teaching effective information use, and offering research assistance to students.

Vision of the library: The library is committed to facilitating learning and discovery through innovative technologies and services, ensuring access to information resources for present and future generations of students and scholars.

Timing

  • Library Timing:09:00 am – 05.00 pm (Working Days)
  • Library will be closed on 1st & 3rd Saturday, Sunday and Holidays as per KU Calendar 2024.
  • During Exam Time, library timing is increased

KU LIBRARY GENERAL RULES

  • Identity card is a must when entering the library.
  • Silence and strict discipline should be maintained in the Every one shall ensure that no reader should feel disturbed in their study by any act of his/her.
  • Books, journals, etc. taken from the shelves for reading should be left on the tables after use and 'not' to be replaced on the
  • The Library staff on duty has the right to request a user to leave the premises if he/she is found to be violating any of the Library
  • Chairs and tables and other library equipment, fittings and furniture may not be marked, defaced, Users should not place their feet on chairs or tables.
  • A Library member has to keep his/her Library Membership Card (Smart Card) with utmost care. Loss or damage of a Library Membership Card is an offence. Loss of this card must be reported in writing to the issuing authority
