The Department of Physics, Kaziranga University conducted a three days workshop on Astronomy and astrophysics on 6th,7th and 8th of May, 2017. Resource persons for the workshops were Dr. Ranjeev Mishra, IUCAA, Pune, Dr. G. A. Ahmed, Professor, Dept. of Physics, Tezpur University, Dr. Amit Pathak, Associate Professor, Dept. of Physics, Tezpur University, Dr. Rupjyoti Gogoi Assistant Professor, Dept. of Physics, Tezpur University and Dr.Anjali Rao, IUCAA, Pune. The main theme/topic of the workshop was "Astronomy and Astrophysics: Recent Trends and Scopes". A total number of 65 students from Physics department participated in the workshop.
