Dean, SBS has welcomed the esteemed speakers and the participants. The Registrar of The Assam Kaziranga University has also addressed the gathering and indicated that the online workshop as the need of the hour and as a medium of experiential learning for the students of the University. Prof Ashok Kumar, chairperson, Centre for Systems Biology and Bioinformatics Panjab University, Chandigarh and Dr Moorty Senior Research Scientist, R&D Lab, EinNext AI powered Biosciences, Chennai have interacted with the students and exposed our students to the basic know how of chemiinformatics and drug design as well as to the open tools available in this exciting and highly interdisciplinary area. Students from the department of biotechnology, pharmacy, chemistry, microbiology are largely benefitted by attending this workshop. Professor Ashok Kumar has expressed his gratitude to Dr J K Sarmah, Dean, SBS for being given the opportunity to conduct the online workshop in association with KU. Dr Lipika Khataniar, HoD i/c Biotechnology has coordinated the event. This beginning has opened scope for future collaborations between the two universities.
