School of Engineering and Technology, Kaziranga University, organized IBM ICE day on 3rd & 4th December 2021. The program's objective was to showcase the talent of KU- IBM students (CSE, ECE, EE students) through project presentation. Most of the projects were related to the latest disruptive technologies like Web development, Machine learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data and Sentiment analysis in IBM Cloud and IBM Watson studio platform.
The registrar, A. Srihari Krishna and Dean SET, Dr P.G.Ramesh, inaugurated the event. The event was coordinated by Dr Pranav Kumar, Assistant professor, CSE department.
1st half of the event was anchored by Dr Barnana Baruah, and Dr Manashee Kalita anchored the second half.
The Dean School of Engineering & Technology, Professor Dr P.G.Ramesh, delivered the welcome address. He extended his greetings to the registrar, deans from various schools, guests from IBM, students and faculty members.
Following that, an inaugural address was made by our Honourable Registrar with his speech where he quoted the English quote expressing the usefulness of new technologies in day to day life like Mobile application development, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics and the Internet of Things.
Later a welcome speech was delivered by the Head of the Department of Computer science & engineering, Ms Mousoomi Bora.
A few words of appreciation for the successful completion of 7th semester Minor Projects were delivered by IBM Delivery Head Mr Viqaruddin Sukri.
After the inaugural speech, the program was commenced with a project presentation in the SET seminar hall.
All 15 projects were evaluated by Mr Viqaruddin Sukri and Mr Ram Nath in the presence of internal guides from the CSE department.
The project presentations were completed by 4.20 PM, and the winners were the IBM Team of the 7th-semester students.
The program ended with the Vote of thanks by Ms Nazreena Rahman. It was a successful event organized in this semester, 2021.
