Kaziranga University in collaboration with Humanitarian Aid International and North East Affected Area Development Society organised a knowledge sharing workshop on 27th August, wherein data on post flood situation in two villages of Golaghat district of Assam was collected through Drone Technology. The data was further analysed through Artificial Intelligence, triangulated with local knowledge which was shared with multi-stakeholders - community, civil society organisations, panchayatiraj institutions and government agencies for devising an effective response and preparedness mechanism. This was a first of its kind initiative in North East where drone technology and artificial intelligence were used for making the loss,damage and need assessment in the aftermath of a disaster. KU and HAI are looking forward to a larger collaboration with Government of Assam and Civil Society Organisations in making a holistic intervention in Majuli Islands
