To commemorate the discovery of the 'Raman Effect', The Assam Kaziranga University celebrated National Science Day on 28^th February, 2022 at the University premises. The event was organised by The School of Basic Sciences in collaboration with The Community Club and Bharti Foundation, Jorhat. As a part of the celebration, an 'Inter School Science Model Making Competition' was organised in which  students from 13 primary schools across Jorhat participated to showcase their Science Models. The competition was conducted with a motive to provide platform to young minds full of curiosity and peppered with creativity to showcase their innovative ideas and talents. Trophies along with certificates were provided to the winning participants. Participation certificates were also provided to the remaining participants to recognise their hard work and dedication.

The winner of the competition are:

• 1^st Prize won by: 150.Bhokotkomua LP School.
• 2^nd Prize won by: Natun Samuguri Bagicha L.P. School
• 3^rd prize won by: Bhurakala L.P. School
