Observation of UN Day 30th Oct, 2019 Organized by the School of Social Sciences in collaboration with Indian Federation of UN Association, New Delhi Venue , SET Seminar Hall, where students of all the six schools and Jorhat Engineering College participated. In the morning hour a Quiz Competition was organized where the students of six schools of Kaziranga University and Jorhat Engineering College(JEC). The subjects of Quiz was mostly on UN History, its various institutions, activities and India's role in strengthening international understanding, democracy and peace building initiatives. The Winner was the team represented from the JEC and the runners up was team represented from the School of Social Sciences. The Quiz Master was Mr Tshering Lepcha , Asst Professor and he was supported by Ms Rajashree Saharia, Asst Professor and Prof(Dr) Braja S. Mishra. In the afternoon the formal programme on UN Day started where Dr P.K. Mishra, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of Kaziranga University was the Chief Guest, Dr Aswini Sarma, Secretary General of UNSECO Association Guwhati and Mr Tanuj Goswami, President Youth Hostel Association of Assam were the Guests of Honour. It was moderated by Dr Braja S. Mishra, Dean, School of Social Sciences.
