MoU signing event between The Assam Kaziranga University and IIM Calcutta Innovation Park

The Assam Kaziranga University (KU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park on 20th January 2026 at the KU Conference Room. The MoU aims to foster innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry–academia collaboration, with a special focus on encouraging university students to initiate and develop startups.
The event was graced by Mr. Pankaj Gogoi, CEO, IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. From The Assam Kaziranga University, the dignitaries present included Dr. Sumita Sarkar, Registrar; Dr. Ripunjoy Gogoi, Dean, SET; Prof. Bibhas Basumatary, Dean, SOB; Dr. Sailendra Kumar Mahanta, Director, IQAC; and Dr. Ashim Jyoti Gogoi, HOD, ECE and EE Departments.
As per the MoU, both institutions will collaboratively organize workshops and training programs, particularly in the domain of Electronics and Communication Engineering, to enhance students’ technical skills, entrepreneurial mindset, and industry readiness. This collaboration marks a significant step toward nurturing innovation-driven learning and startup culture at The Assam Kaziranga University.
