The 2^nd Oath Taking and Lamp Lighting Ceremony for the second batch of B.Sc. Nursing students was held on 14 nov., 2024 at school of nursing, the Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat, Assam. This significant event marked an important milestone in the students’ academic and professional journey as they transitioned from learners to healthcare providers.

The ceremony began with an opening speech by Ms. Momota Devi, Nursing Tutor, who welcomed the students and faculty members and other academic persons. The significance of the event explains by Mrs Vineetha M., Associate professor was emphasized the values of compassion, ethics, and commitment. Following the students took the Nursing Oath, a solemn pledge to dedicate themselves to the well-being of their patients, maintain ethical conduct, and provide care with compassion and competence delivered By Vice- principal Mr. B. Chetan Kumar.

The Oath Taking and Lamp Lighting Ceremony was a fitting tribute to the values and dedication that nursing students must carry forward throughout their careers. On this occasion Registrar of the Assam Kaziranga University Dr. H. Ravi Shankar Kamath and Dean of School of Nursing Mr. Surjesh Moirangthemba give best wishes to new nursing students. Following with a cultural program also conducted by nursing students as group dance & singing songs.
