The School of Pharmacy at The Assam Kaziranga University successfully celebrated National Pharmacy Week (NPW), 2025, with a series of professional and engaging activities centered around the theme: “Pharmacists as Advocates of Vaccination.” The celebration aimed to highlight the expanded and critical role of pharmacists in public health, particularly in immunization programs. The events were spread across two key dates, November 20th and November 22nd, 2025.

Guests/Speakers: Ms. Viketono Luho from Jorhat Christian Medical Centre delivered an insightful talk focusing on current vaccination schedules, strategies for addressing vaccine hesitancy, and the legal and ethical framework surrounding immunization. A highly interactive session followed, engaging students on the core issues.
The two-day NPW celebration unfolded with a vibrant mix of academic depth, community spirit, and student engagement. Day 1 began with a rally and formal inauguration, followed by the unveiling of the week’s theme through keynote sessions highlighting the evolving role of pharmacists in public health and vaccination. An expert talk enriched students’ understanding of vaccination practices, while a symbolic plantation of Mesua ferrea reinforced the institution’s commitment to sustainability. The afternoon featured creative competitions and exhibitions, showcasing students’ knowledge and innovation. Day 2 brought a warm and spirited closing ceremony marked by cultural performances, an inspiring address by the Dean, and the distribution of certificates recognizing student achievements, concluding with expressions of gratitude and the National Anthem.
