The NCC Cell of The Assam Kaziranga University proudly announces that Cadet Pareihanba Maisnam represented the university at the prestigious Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026 held at the Directorate General National Cadet Corps (DG NCC), Delhi. RDC is one of the most esteemed and competitive camps in the National Cadet Corps, bringing together selected cadets from across the country.

Cadet Pareihanba’s journey to RDC was marked by perseverance and rigorous preparation. He successfully cleared six selection camps, beginning with Unit-level selections in Jorhat and the Inter-Battalion Drill Competition in Shillong, followed by Pre-RDC I, II, III, and the Launch Camp conducted in Jorhat. His consistent performance and dedication earned him selection for the national-level camp.

The month-long camp was conducted from 28 December 2025 to 29 January 2026, with participation from 17 NCC Directorates representing states across India. At RDC 2026, he was part of the prestigious Prime Minister’s Rally (PMR) event as a member of the East Zone Marching Contingent, comprising cadets from the North Eastern Region (NER), Odisha, West Bengal, and Sikkim Directorates. Daily drill practices were conducted to maintain the highest standards of precision and discipline.

He also participated in the Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) selection process, which included written tests, drill assessments, group discussions, and a personal interview conducted by senior NCC officials. The camp featured various competitions such as Line Area, Cultural, Best Cadet, and PMR events.

During the camp, cadets had the opportunity to visit prominent landmarks including India Gate and Qutb Minar. Several distinguished dignitaries, including the Vice President of India and Chiefs of the Armed Forces, visited and interacted with the cadets, making the experience truly memorable.

Upon his return, Cadet Pareihanba was felicitated by dignitaries in Assam. His achievement reflects dedication, discipline, and commitment, bringing pride to the university and the NCC unit.
