Students of the School of Pharmacy, The Assam Kaziranga University, participated in the National Conference on Technologies for Mitigation of Disease Vectors and Other Jungle Hazards, organized by DRDO, Tezpur, on October 15–16, 2025. The event brought together experts, researchers, and students to explore innovative strategies against disease vectors and jungle hazards.

A total of 18 students from B.Pharm 7th Semester (Batch 2022–2026) enthusiastically took part in the poster presentation competition under various sub-themes. Notably, under the sub-theme “Novel Drugs, Repellents, and Diagnostics for the Management of Vector-Borne Diseases.

• Mehnaj Simran Ahmed secured 1st prize
• Raj Thapa and Pankaj Rijal Chetry jointly won 2nd prize
• Biplobi Sonowal and Liza Kachari bagged 3rd prize.

The event provided students with valuable exposure to research methodologies and real-world applications in pharmaceutical sciences through interactions with DRDO scientists and delegates.
