1. Introduction
The Assam Kaziranga University successfully organized a Two-Day International Conference on Energy, Sustainability and Climate Change on 9th and 10th October 2025. The conference was conducted under the scheme of AICTE-Vibrant Advocacy for Advancement and Nurturing of Indian Languages (VAANI). The VAANI initiative by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) aims to promote the use of Indian languages in technical and scientific education and to support the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. The present conference was a significant step toward this vision, as it was conducted in the Assamese language, encouraging scientific communication and discourse in the regional context.

3. Inaugural Session
The Inaugural Session was graced by Professor Arupjyoti Choudhury, Vice-Chancellor of Madhabdev University, who delivered the Inaugural Address. The session also had the presence of Dr. Kartik Neog, Director, Central Muga Eri Research & Training Institute (CMER&TI), as a Guest of Honour. The inaugural function witnessed participation from distinguished academicians, researchers, and representatives from industry and research organizations across the region.

5. Technical Sessions and Paper Presentations
Over the course of two days, the conference hosted more than 20 research paper presentations by scholars and professionals from diverse fields related to energy, sustainability, and climate change. The presentations highlighted regional and global perspectives on clean energy technologies, sustainable resource management, environmental conservation, and policy implications. A conference proceeding containing the abstracts and selected papers was published to commemorate the event.

The conference served as an excellent platform for interdisciplinary collaboration, fostering the exchange of ideas between academia and industry. It also demonstrated the potential of Indian languages—particularly Assamese—as a medium for high-level scientific discussion.
