The Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat, successfully organized the two-day International Conference on Bridging Science, Society and Sustainability (ICBSSS 2026) on February 10–11, 2026, in hybrid mode, commemorating Women and Girls in Science. The conference brought together academicians, researchers, and industry experts and more than 75 participants from across Assam and abroad, with presentations delivered exclusively by women scientists and researchers. The conference was organized by the Department of Biotechnology and the Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the Women Cell and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), with support from the university authorities of The Assam Kaziranga University and was convened by registrar, Dr. Sumita Sarkar and coordinated by Dr. Lipika Khataniar, Dr. Geetanjali Baruah, Dr. Manoshi Kotoky, and Ms. Bedakhi Baruah. The event featured keynote addresses by distinguished experts from national and international institutions, research presentations, and the publication of an abstract book with ISBN 978-93-47652-00-4. The conference concluded with a valedictory ceremony attended by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Murari Lal Gaur, along with best oral and best poster prize distribution and cultural programmes, reaffirming the commitment to inclusive scientific dialogue and sustainable development.
