The IIIrd Oath Taking and Lamp Lighting Ceremony of B.Sc. Nursing students of school of nursing, the Assam Kaziranga University, Jorhat is held on 25 Oct., 2025 at Kaziranga University auditorium. This significant event marked an important milestone in the students’ academic and professional journey as they transitioned from learners to healthcare providers.
The ceremony began with an inauguration and lighting up the lamp by Chief of honour- Mrs. Mrs Kamlu Sunar, Principal School of Nursing CMC, Jorhat, Cheif Guest- Mrs. Panchi bhattacharya, principal Govt College of Nursing,Jorhat, Dr. Sumita Sarkar, Registrar and Dr. Surjesh Moirangthemba, Dean, school of Nursing Kaziranga University. The ceremony is host by Mrs. Vineetha Moirangthemba and Ms. Kaschini Rajkhowa. The significance of the event explains by Mrs Sangeeta Dutta, faculty of school of nursing was emphasized the values of compassion, ethics, and commitment. Following the students took the Nursing Oath, a solemn pledge to dedicate themselves to the well-being of their patients, maintain ethical conduct, and provide care with compassion and competence delivered By Dr. Surjesh Moirangthemba, Dean, school of Nursing Kaziranga University.
The Oath Taking and Lamp Lighting Ceremony was a fitting tribute to the values and dedication that nursing students must carry forward throughout their careers. On this occasion Chief of honour- Mrs. Mrs Kamlu Sunar, Cheif Guest- Mrs. Panchi bhattacharya and Dean of School of Nursing Mr. Surjesh Moirangthemba give best wishes to new nursing cadre. Following with a cultural program, to give tribute to Jubeen Garg, First Sem. Student Mr. Bishnuluson and Ms. Bidisha Dutta perform a duet song, group dance perform by Seniors batch nursing students & in last a khashi group song sang by First Sem. Student.
