As part of a summer camp initiative organized by the Akshar Foundation, Jorhat, Mrs. Bandana Thakur, Associate Dean at the School of Social Sciences, Assam Kaziranga University, was invited as a Resource Person to conduct sessions on Financial Literacy for school students.

Mrs. Thakur conducted two engaging sessions—one at Charingia High School on 10th July, and another at Bahona Girls' School on 18th July, 2025. Her sessions aimed to introduce young learners to fundamental financial concepts such as banking, saving, and smart money habits.

Using storytelling, relatable examples, and hands-on activities, Mrs. Thakur simplified complex ideas, making them accessible and enjoyable for students. Her interactive approach not only captured the students’ attention but also encouraged active participation.

The sessions were met with enthusiastic responses from both the students and the Akshar Foundation team. Feedback received from the students  highlighted that they enjoyed the learning experience and gained valuable insights into managing money from an early age.
